Stephen Colbert

Stephen Colbert is an American comedian who has been invited to speak about politics at a wide variety of public and private events. Colbert is a political satirist and a writer who stars in a show on Comedy Central called 'The Colbert Report.' He attended Northwestern University and originally studied to be an actor. Colbert wrote for a series of shows before landing a spot on Jon Stewart's 'The Daily Show', which eventually led to him acquiring his own program.

Colbert's comedy program focuses on news commentary, especially in regards to American politics. Colbert has written a list of books including 'I Am America and So Can You!' and 'America Again: Re-Becoming the Greatness we Never Weren't.' Colbert plays a character on his show, separate from his self who is uninformed, obnoxious and in the spot light.
