David Horsey

The David Horsey speeches focus on the effects of perception and how it interferes with societal issues such as racism and politics. Horsey is currently a Political Commentator and cartoonist for the Los Angeles Times and at Tribune Media.

Horsey always had a love for drawing, and throughout his educational journey he was involved in high school newspapers, as well as the University of Washington’s ‘The Daily’ newspaper, as a cartoonist. He graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in communications, and then went on to pursue a Master’s Degree in International Relations, in England, at the University of Kent in 1986. In 2004, Horsey attended the Seattle University, in which he achieved an honorary doctorate degree.

He received several awards throughout his career, most notably the Pulitzer Prize for Editorial Cartooning, which he won both in 1999 and in 2003.
