Sun is currently the President and Co-Founder at FabFolk Inc., a non-profit organization that provides tools for innovation and the advancement of knowledge. Prior to her current position, Sun was a Senior Systems Engineer at Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company and a Research Assistant at MIT. In terms of her education, Sun earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Purdue University and her Masters of Science in Field Fabrication of Solar Powered Steam Turbine from MIT. In combination, she also earned her Doctor of Philosophy in Programmable Surfaces from MIT.
As a researcher, Sun understands the importance of creativity and consistent innovation in all topics of life. Throughout the Amy Sun keynotes, she suggests that FabLabs will provide developed countries opportunities to embrace and invent innovations.
