Spoken word poet Sarah Kay talks about her journey into professional and personal success in her poetry speech.

Kay talks about how she discovered spoken word poetry at 14, and immediately jumped into it, finding it the perfect combination of theater performance and writing. She describes her early experiences with audience reaction to her poetry and how it encouraged her to keep going. She goes on to talk about he she got further inspiration from other poets and poetry nights at bars and continued to write poetry and grow in skill.
