Dan Savage's Monogamy Speech Debunks the Value of Being Devoted
Kyle Towers — March 14, 2013 — Keynote Trends
References: thestranger & youtu.be
This bold monogamy speech by Dan Savage disagrees with the current opinions of marriage and monogamy. Savage feels that it is unnatural for humans to abstain from partaking in sexual adventures with more than one person. He feels we should follow our instincts and urges us to do what makes us happy. This will in turn create better marriages that don't fall victim to the high percentage of failure.
The sex columnist is used to being at the center of controversy, and this monogamy speech is no exception. He uses crude language to get his points across on how he feels, to the point where viewers may get offended. At one point, he even claims to be a conservative, but his tone and views seem to suggest otherwise.
