He has set these experiences and skills to purpose, working for over twenty years as an activist and an educator, seeking to affect social justice in the United States and around the world.
Porter gives advice as a consultant to the White House Commission on Violence Against Women and Girls and the Department of Justice of Violence Against Women. He has served as a international lecturer for the U.S. State Department, most notably in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Porter has also been a guest presenter at the United Nations' Commission on the Status of Women.
