Joe Robles

As the President and CEO of the United Services Automobile Association (USAA) Joe Robles's keynotes are brimming with useful and often surprising insight into effective management and leadership. Robles is well acquainted with the need for both effective leadership and teamwork. For 28 years he served in the United States army. He saw active duty posts in Vietnam, Korea, Germany and Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm. In honor of his distinguished service Robles, received the Legion of Merit with two Oak Leaf Clusters, the Bronze Star with Oak Leaf Cluster and the
Distinguished Service Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster.

In terms of business, Robles was a board member of USAA from 1990 to 1994, when he assumed the role of CFO and controller in September of that year. The following year, he also became corporate treasurer.
