The Ian Goldin speeches examine drivers of change like globalization, the digital revolution and migration. The globalization and development professor at the University of Oxford has been Director of Oxford Martin School since 2006.
Before 1996, Goldin worked as the Principal Economist at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development as well as the Program Director at the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development in Paris. There, he directed the Development Centre's Programs on Trade, Environment and Sustainable Development.
Between 1996 and 2001 Goldin worked as the Chief Executive and Managing Director of the Development Bank of Southern Africa and as an advisor to President Nelson Mandela. From 2001 to 2003 Goldin was the President of the World Bank and the Vice President from 2003-2006.
