Geena Rocero

Geena Rocero's keynotes take into account her career as a model and a transgender woman. At age 21, Rocero was discovered by a fashion photographer in New York City. She was immediately signed to NEXT Model Management, one of the largest and most successful modeling agencies in the world. She has spent the last 12 years modeling for international campaigns and editorials.

Rocero spoke at a TED conference in honor of International Transgender Day of Visibility, where she came out at transgender. Following her public coming out, Rocero launched 'Gender Proud,' an organization that "envisions a world where all transgender people are able to self-identify with the fewest possible barriers." In order to enter the global arena, the organization is raising funds via IndieGogo, helping to cover costs for legal aid, transportation and activist stipends.
