In today's world, the more successful a man becomes, the more he is liked and admired by both men and women. The more successful a woman becomes, however, the more she is disliked by men and women. Success makes women become disliked by peers and this is a serious barrier for women seeking roles of leaderships.
Women are also criticized for acting too assertive or aggressive in the workplace -- whereas men are not. This is because the modern perception of women is still one that doesn't reflect such characteristics typically associated with men.
