Levin is the Executive Director and Founder at ISIS, Inc. which is an organization that provides online and mobile educational resources in the areas of sexual and reproductive health, in order to promote healthy relationships. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the Cornell University as well as a Master’s Degree in Experiential Education from the New York University. Lastly, she attended Columbia University's Mailman School of Public Health.

Levin has been working in the field of youth sexual health since 1993, after she discovered that she could reach out to a large audience of teens through the Internet. She created a persona called 'Go Ask Alice,' who encourages young teens to ask challenging questions they may have. Levine is the author of the book titled 'The Joy of Cybersex' (Ballantine, 1998) and has also co-authored works for the American Journal of Public Health and AIDSCare.
