Shereen El-Feki

Shereen El Feki's speeches discuss the attitudes of people towards sexual behavior in the Arab nations. El Feki's passion is aimed towards projects that adhere to provide a better understanding of the social changes that are taking place in Arab nations, particularly issues that affect young people.

She received her Ph.D. in molecular immunology at the University of Cambridge. El Feki later became a healthcare correspondent for The Economist. Her emphasis on HIV and governmental rule on the matter stems from her role as a former vice chair of the United Nations' Global Commission on HIV and Law. She worked as a regional media as a presenter with the Al Jazeera Network and writes about social issues in the Arab world. She is the author of the book Sex and the Citadel.
