Blackwell Publishers have claimed that his book, 'No god but God: The Origins, Evolution, and Future of Islam' is one of the 100 most important books of its decade. The nuance, substance and optimism that shines through his writings make it clear why. Similarly, in his presentations, Reza Aslan points towards various social trends in the Muslim world that are making it hard for the fundamentalist stereotype to stick. Chief among these is a young, educated generation of Muslims who have no use for fundamentalist ideals or inaccurate stereotypes.

Aslan holds a B.A. from Santa Clara University, an M.A. Harvard, as well as a Ph.D. in religion from Santa Clara University. Currently, he is the CEO and president of Aslan Media Inc, a media holdings company.
