Arlene Dickinson

Arlene Dickinson's keynotes draw from her extensive experience in communications as CEO and owner of Venture Communications, one of Canada's leading independent marketing communications firms.

In 1988, Dickinson joined Venture Communications and in just 10 years she became the sole owner. Since 1998, the National Post has named Venture Communications of of Canada's 50 Best Managed Companies not once, but three times.

Dickinson is best known as a "dragon" on CBC's Dragon's Den. Along with several other successful venture capitalists and entrepreneurs, Dickinson uses her business knowledge and vision to decide whether or not to invest her money in start up companies.

Dickinson is recognized as one of Canada's Most Powerful Women. She's even distinguished as being in the top 100 Hall of Fame in that category. She's also been the recipient of the Pinnacle Award for Entrepreneurial Excellence, Ad Rodeo’s Lifetime Achievement Award, and McGill University’s Management Achievement Award.

Dickinson is also now the national spokesperson for the Breakfast Clubs of Canada. She speaks to raise awareness about child hunger and advocate for every child to be provided with a healthy breakfast.
