This personal power keynote by Arlene Dickinson uses her experience visiting the Canadian troops in Afghanistan to explain the power one person can have.
Best known for her role on CBC’s Dragon’s Den, Arlene Dickinson shares an anecdote about being asked to travel in a black hawk helicopter to five different operations bases in Afghanistan. On her trip to these bases she witnessed the Canadian general give the same speech five times. And in that speech he explained to the troops that their focus was paramount not only to their own safety, but to the safety of their entire team.
Dickinson took that statement to heart and realized to power one person can have at that moment.
