In his talk about teams, Terry Stuart discusses "the marvel of innovation" and the seven superheroes you need at your organization for any project to be successful. Deloitte Canada's Chief Innovation Officer states only 13% of Canadian companies are prepared for disruptive technologies like 3D printing, AI and robotics.
The speaker identifies the 'Super Seven' personality types innovative projects require -- Sadie Sensor, known for her insatiable curiosity and addiction to learning; Chameleon Connector, who lives in parallel worlds and has superior communication skills; Daiya Designer, intuitive and observant with digital DNA to bring concepts to life; Kaiyla Kreator maximizes ideas, challenges norms and seeks discovery; Brave Nouveau is nimble, willing to fail, a time traveller and risk-seeking; Marcus Mentor, an experienced visionary who shares knowledge; and Baden Big Builder, strong and fast, perseverant and a collaborative synthesizer.
Although all seven archetypes are needed, they are needed in different percentages. Marcus and Baden each take up 40% because of their acceleration and love of process ("process guarantees quality and consistency").
