Explaining the basics to the audience, the expert researcher breaks down how most generations are broken into 20 year cycles. Taylor states in the talk that millennials are a very distinctive generation when compared to others in many different aspects. Now that the oldest of the generation has made the passage into adulthood, researches are beginning to know more about them than they did 10 years ago when they first came on the scene. The populated generation is expected to be at 80 million strong once the 20 year cycle is over, making this the largest generation since the baby boomers. In the millennial keynote, Taylor open up on how the versatility of the generation when it comes to race, ethics and political views.
"Millennials are the most nonwhite generation because of modern immigration waves... they are also the most democratic voting generation of young adults in the past 50 or 60 years," says Taylor.
