Lisa Nicole Bell's Media Management Keynote Introduces New Concepts
Jaime Neely — July 9, 2012 — Keynote Trends
Lisa Nicole Bell discusses the different ways humans can maximize their personal satisfaction and levels of happiness and fufillment through media consumption in this media management keynote. According to Bell, every individual consumes over 5,000 media messages a day, making it extremely difficult to distinguish the important and relevant information. The human brain depends on the mind filters it has developed over time to sort through all the noise.
Bell recognizes that in an ideal world, the media would be responsible and accountable to the information and messages it releases and creates. Because this is not the case, every individual must consciously consume more responsibly. People must recognize the media outlets that complement their ethos, as well as the messages that enable them to shape their own opinions. Humans cannot rely on the validity and accuracy of messages from the media. Every person has the personal responsibility to smartly consume information today.
