David Chang’s Meat Consumption Speech on the Vegetarian Debate
Lacey-Jane Walsh — August 26, 2013 — Keynote Trends
Chef David Chang talks about the vegetarian debate in this meat consumption speech. Personally, Chang states that he wouldn't want to live in a world where nobody eats meat. However, there are many reasons to become a vegetarian, or at least to be more careful in terms of meat consumption.
Chang compares the vegetarian debate to topics like religion, and abortion. He believes that there’s no way to covert everyone to vegetarianism, because despite all of the logical reasons to do so, people don’t want to hear it. There are a lot of animals being slaughtered for meat consumption, but Chang explains that even if people don’t want to give up meat, there are responsible, more friendly ways to eat meat.
