Famed Facebook founder, Mark Zuckerberg gives CEOs tips on preparing for a board meeting. Zuckerberg explains that Facebook is more about focus and not a lot about bureaucracy.
He recalls the simple exercises and methods used by his company when it began. Early Facebook board meetings began with a written down summary of what was going on with the company. Important points were presented on a single yellow piece of paper. This paper was then passed around the room, leading to a focused discussion on the goals at hand.
Since their booming success, Facebook's board meetings are now structured, using more information and content for important discussions. Despite this, the infamous single yellow paper is always present, allowing for a stripped down and condensed view of the company's top priorities.
