Juliette Green Shows How Kids Can Learn from Playing Outside
John Ibbitson — February 12, 2012 — Keynote Trends
London-based elementary school teacher and author Juliette Green, talks about the importance for children to learn while playing outside of the classroom. She explains that it teaches them a sense of place. When children go outside they can learn about surrounding neighborhoods and communities, in addition to learning about various habitats and what kind of nature is amongst them in their environment.
She also shows how this can be a motivating and meaningful learning experience for children in that they get to use equipment outside of the class that they wouldn't be able to use indoors. In this informative talk with Juliette Green, she not only convinces her audience to send their children outside to play, but gives them a variety of information as to why they should.
