Jody Williams, a teacher and aid worker, dedicated a large portion of her life fighting to ban landmines. In 1997, her efforts were recognized when she was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. In this short speech, Jody Williams describes her accomplishments as extraordinary because of the like-minded individuals she worked with. She considers herself extraordinary because of her affiliation with an extraordinary accomplishment.
She believes that anyone has the power to change the world and make a difference, but she believes that doing so relies on one's willingness to stand up for what he or she believes in.
