Jennifer Granholm's job creating keynote is a much needed rally that offers a sound solution for the hurting US economy. She introduces her talk by discussing how the US is struggling in the global economy and the fact that congress always being gridlocked is part of the problem.
She offers the solution of holding a "race to the top" between governors of all fifty States to produce green energy. She believes that every state has its own unique energy to offer the country and together they can rebuild with greener jobs.
The former governor of Michigan ends her job creating keynote by challenging the audience, which happened to be packed with wealthy company dignitaries, to go around congress and fund this race. She then talked about how wonderful it would be if a Ted Talk was the reason the US economy was saved which created a roaring crowd.
