The famous and beloved astrophysicist and author Neil deGrasse Tyson addresses fan queries in his individuality speech. He tells the story of how he has had several people ask what they could do to become him. His response encourages people to do what they enjoy doing and to just be themselves.
Neil goes on to discuss that the greatest individuals in society were not versions of someone else, but instead made their own path to greatness. He uses the example of Michael Jordan being unlike anyone else. He says if everyone could reach and express their unique talent that they have to offer, the world would essentially reach its best potential.
Neil ends his individuality speech by giving homework to his viewers by urging them to find their unique combination of talents.
