Frank Warren is the founder of PostSecret.com, the most successful advertisement-free blog on the Internet. Post Secret began as a "crazy idea" of Warren's in 2004, when he started distributing stamped and addressed blank postcards around Washington, DC. At this point, Frank Warren has received a half million postcards with as many secrets attached and has released a book, which includes a secret postcard from him.
Warren discusses the power of secrets in this touching talk in which he shares several postcards, and adds that although he didn't know it at the time, he started the project as a way to deal with his own secrets. Through crowdsourcing and the kindness of strangers, he was able to "uncover parts of his past that were haunting" him.
