In his competitive advantage talk, Tim Draper discusses the positive aspects of competition, especially in a global market. Draper states competition is a good thing because it improves pricing and service, and monopolies are bad. As all governments are monopolies, the Tim Draper speech asks the question: "What if countries competed for us?"
Draper's mission in life is to spread entrepreneurship and venture capitalism around the world. Throughout his life he has had the opportunity to travel extensively and meet with a variety of business people and government heads. He shares some of his experiences in his competitive advantage talk, to demonstrate how some countries do fight for advantages. He then turns his attention to the United States, and what needs to be done in order for the American population, and people internationally, to be more free and brave.
