Humor in the Face of Adversity

Comedian Jimmy Kimmel addresses the ULV graduating class of 2013 and talks about abut his road to successes in his commencement speech. Funny and poignant, Kimmel describes his start in comedy as a radio jockey where he spent his time making fun of random people he would pick out of the phone book. He explains how he was never deterred by being fired, which happened several times over the course of his radio career.

In his commencement speech, Kimmel discusses that being fired never bothered him because he loved doing radio so much that he just kept going until he landed a permanent job in Seattle. Kimmel ends his speech by emphasizing the importance of finishing things -- college, a job, etc., and seeing things through.
