This Bill Gates commencement speech at Harvard University offers graduating students a look inside the speaker's experience as an undergraduate student and what he wishes he knew during his time at the school.
Gates left Harvard without the knowledge of the inequalities within the world and this is something he thoroughly regrets. He knew nothing about the unspeakable conditions in which millions of individuals, and more importantly children, lived. The media and news cover new events and things that are happening now; the fact that million of people are dying all over the world is no longer news, meaning people are easily able to look away.
According to Gates, reducing human equity is the greatest human achievement and he urges the graduating class to recognize how much can be done with so little.
