Victoria Ippolito's keynotes expose her unabashed love for the sea. After studying in Rhode Island, the New Jersey native traveled to the Deep South to obtain her Master's degree in fisheries and environmental science at LSU.
Ippolito then relocated to California, where she currently educates boaters on safety practices and environmental issues for the Santa Monica Bay Restoration Commission. In addition, Ippolito is in charge of managing grants for restoration and pollution prevention. Specifically, she works with a program that seeks to restore the abalone population, a species closely related to oysters.
Ippolito also works to improve and examine both the restoration efforts and the environmental impact of Louisiana's seafood industry. Her ultimate goal and passion is the restoration of different eco-systems around the world.
