He is the author of three books, the most recent being 'Protest Nation: The Radical Roots of Modern America.' He is an award-winning professor at Harvard University, and currently works as a lecturer in history and literature. As well, at Harvard he is an adjunct lecturer on public policy, and the director of the Human Rights and Social Moements Program at the Carr Center for Human Rights Policy.
