The Elizabeth Pisani keynotes focus on the ways that HIV is spread. Pisani is a epidemiologist and the Director of Ternyata Ltd.
Initially, Pisani graduated from Oxford University with a Master's degree in classical Chinese in 1986, and worked as a foreign correspondent for predominant publications such as Reuter, The Economist and the Asia Times. In 1990, she decided to change careers, and attended the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and achieved a Master of Science degree, and also completed her PhD in Infectious Disease Epidemiology.
Due to her vast expertise, Pisani worked for the Ministries of Health in China, Indonesia, East Timor and the Philippines. She also does work for organizations such as UNAIDS and the World Health Organization.
In 2008, Pisani published a book titled ‘The Wisdom of Whores,’ which focuses on the ineffective programs that are in place to prevent the HIV disease. She’s also written several research papers, including the first biennial global report on AIDS for the United Nations. The Elizabeth Pisani keynotes provide eye-opening insights.
