The Siddhartha Mukherjee keynotes explore the history of cancer, and divulge into the pursuit of finding its origin. Mukherjee is a hematologist and oncologist who is currently working as an assistance professor of medicine at Colombia University in New York City. And also acts as a staff cancer physician at Colombia University’s Medical Center.
Mukherjee studied biology at Stanford University, then went onto study immunology at Oxford University. He then continued his studies at Harvard Medical School where he earned an M.D.
In 2010, his book titled ‘The Emperor of All Maladies: A Biography of Cancer,’ was published by Simon & Schuster. Oprah Winfrey listed this book as one of the “Top 10 Books of 2010,” along with The New York Times giving it the same title. Mukherjee has also published several articles based on his research findings, that can be found in publications such as Neuron and the Journal of Clinical Investigation.
In 2011, Dr. Mukherjee was nominated as a member on the “100 Most Influential People” list by TIME Magazine. The Siddhartha Mukherjee keynotes are informative and enlightening.
