Sarah Lewis

In the Sarah Lewis keynotes, the audience gets to see just how important the arts can be when it comes to making a social change and challenging the way people see the world.

The art historian served on President Barack Obama’s Arts Policy Committee, was selected for Oprah’s “Power List” and teaches at Yale University's School of Art. Having authored numerous books like 'The Rise: Creativity, the Gift of Failure, and the Search for Mastery,' Lewis is a skilled writer with published essays about contemporary art in magazines and publications like the New Yorker, Artforum, Art in America, the Smithsonian, The Museum of Modern Art and the Studio Museum in Harlem.

Lewis previously held positions in the Tate Modern and the Museum of Modern Art and is currently a board member of The Andy Warhol for the Visual Arts, the CUNY Graduate Center, the Harvard Alumni Association and The Brearley School.
