Lectures by Ryan Cox take his law background into account. After obtaining a BA from the University of Texas, Cox went on to pursue his Juris Doctorate from St. Mary's University School of Law. During his education, Cox gained invaluable experience as an employee of the prosecutor's office in his hometown and held a coveted internship with the Supreme Court of Texas. He also contributed to St. Mary's Law journal, working as an editor for the publication.
Cox formerly worked as a law clerk for an esteemed US District Judge and as a briefing attorney at the Texas Thirteenth Court of Appeals. He currently works for Cox Smith Matthews, San Antonio's largest law firm. Cox also serves on the San Antionio Young Lawyers Association and acts as a student mentor for the King William Association's Scholar Program.
Beyond simply being published as an expert in fields of criminal procedure and international criminal justice, Cox is also working on a grant proposal concerning Norwegian prison models, forming professional relationships with staff at both the University of Texas and Oslo.
