Rose George

Her journalism career began as an intern with an internship at The Nation. Afterwards, George has been a senior editor and writer for COLORS, a “global magazine about local cultures." At 1999 she became a freelance writer for the New York Times, Guardian, Independent, London Review of Books and numerous other publication.

She has authored the book A Life Removed: Hunting for Refuge in the Modern World, which is a book about the everyday lives of refugees. The Big Necessity: Adventures in the World of Human Waste/The Unmentionable World of Human Waste and Why it Matters is George's second book.

George has a BA in modern languages from the University of Oxford and an MA in international politics from the University of Pennsylvania.
