Naomi Klein

Naomi Klein's keynotes borrow from her award-winning book 'The Shock Doctrine: The rise of Disaster Capitalism.' She informs audiences of the enormous risks being taken by the world's most powerful individuals and their selfish behavior.

The author of four books, she began her undergraduate studies at the University of Toronto, but failed to finish her degree until after leaving to take a job at the Toronto Globe and Mail. She also received an honorary Doctor of Civil Laws from the University of King's College and is a former Milibad Fellow at the London School of Economics.

In addition to being the author of four books, she also works as a contributing editor for Harper's, as well as submits a regular column for The Nation and The Guardian. She was awarded the James Aronson Award for Social Justice Journalism in 2004.
