Mona Mourshed

The Mona Mourshed talk on solving global unemployment explains the different viewpoints held by young people, educators and employers. Dr. Mourshed works with the World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE) as its senior partner and head of the Global Education Practice. She is also a director of McKinsey & Company.

She is the lead author of 'Education for Employment: Realizing Arab Youth Potential' (2011) and 'How the World's Most Improved School Systems Keep Getting Better' (2010). She is also the co-author of 'How the World's Best-Performing School Systems Come Out on Top' (2007). The Mona Mourshed talk sheds light on the gap between the skills being taught in school versus what employers are looking for.

Dr. Mourshed received her HBA in Development Studies from Stanford University and her PhD in Economic Development from MIT.
