Meike Winnemuth

Speaker Meike Winnemuth is a German freelance writer and author. Winnemuth studied English literature and German studies at Göttingen, Exeter and Berlin between 1979 and 1987. She graduated from the Henri Nannen school (a school for journalists). She has written for publications such as the Star , Geo Saison and the SZ magazine.

After winning money on a game show, Winnemuth traveled around the world, and went to 12 countries in 12 months. She wrote a book about her travels called 'The Great lot', which went on to become a best seller. She won a Leader award in the category of Blog of the Year.

Winnemuth now writes for fun, and encourages others to make time for play in their lives.
