Lawrence Krauss' keynote speeches build on his expertise in science and education. Krauss is a theoretical physicist and cosmologist. He is also a physics professor at the Foundation Professor of the School of Earth and Space Exploration and director of the Origins Project at Arizona State University.
Aside from his involvement in education, Krauss is also a best-selling author of The Physics of Star Trek and A Universe from Nothing.
Krauss was born in New York, but lived in Toronto, Canada most of his life. He attended Carleton University in Ottawa, receiving undergrad degrees in Math and Physics. From there he travelled south to study for his P.h.D. in Physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The same year he graduated from MIT (1982), he joined the Harvard Society of Fellows.
