Lauren Flusche

The keynotes by Laura Flusche will have you excited about the power of design. After obtaining her B.A. in art history, Flusche went on to receive her M.A. in Italian Renaissance art and her Ph.D. in ancient Roman art and archaeology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Flusche later became an educator herself, spending 13 years at the University of Dallas extension in Rome.

Her academic efforts have definitely aided her in her new role as the executive director of the Museum of Design Atlanta (MODA). Her responsibilities there include managing the staff, curating three to five exhibitions a year, overseeing educational programs for children and operating the organization's efforts in social media, fundraising and advocacy.

Ultimately, Flusche has proven herself to be proficient as both an academic and a leader.
