Joy Sun's keynotes focus on her long-spanning career as a veteran aid worker. Sun is currently the Domestic COO of GiveDirectly, an organization dedicated to providing direct cash flow to some of the poorest families living in Kenya and Uganda.
Previous to her position at GiveDirectly, Sun worked as an engagement manager at McKinsey & Company's Silicone Valley office. Prior to that, she worked for the Clinton Health Access Initiative, where she served as Director of Operations. During her time there, Sun was responsible for mobilizing several field operations in Africa, and was instrumental in the growing the establishment to global proportions. It now employs a team of over 500 people.
In terms of education, Sun obtained her MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business and a B.S. from Georgetown's School of Foreign Service.
