John Elkington

The John Elkington lectures examine businesses adapting to climate change in a new economic system. John Elkington is the co-founder of SustainAbility, Environmental Data Services (ENDS) as well as the founding partner and executive chairman of Volans. He is considered a world authority on corporate responsibility and sustainable development. In addition to his contributions to the business world, he is the author of 18 books, including 'The Zeronauts: Breaking the Sustainability Barrier' and 'Cannibals with Forks: The Triple Bottom Line of the 21st Century Business.' The latter brought the term 'triple bottom line' to a wider audience and popularized the concept. Elkington also serves as a columnist and blogger for a number of different publications. He also does public speaking and is a visiting professor at several academic institutions.

The John Elkington lecture discusses the challenges developing countries face in adapting to climate change and the necessity for entrepreneurs to challenge the existing economic system in order to mitigate the negative effects of global warming.
