Jim Fallon

Jim Fallon's presentations explore the nature of behavioral tendencies, most notably psychopathy. While the term 'psychopath' invokes many connotations, Fallon is interested in the scientific understanding of the phenomenon.

Educated in biology and chemistry at Saint Michael's College in Vermont, Fallon would go on to study psychology and psychophysics Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in New York before earning his Ph.D. in neuroanatomy at the University of Illinois College of Medicine.

After completing his studies, Fallon moved from the east coast to the west coast to pursue a career in neuroanatomy at the University of California. He is currently Professor Emeritus of Anatomy and Neurobiology at the University of California Irvine. Much of his research interests center around genetic and environmental factors that contribute to psychopathy. Surprisingly, Jim Fallon's presentations maintain a bouncy sense of levity despite their dark and often intellectually involved themes.
