Educated at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Stewart has used his vast skill base to found Square Earth Inc. in 1995, Mimeo.com in 1998, Monitor110 Inc. in 2003, Urgent Ventures LLC in 2008, and Lenddo in 2011. All are based around the concept of technological business models.

He has also worked as an Entrepreneur in Residence at Draper Fisher Jurvetson Gotham until 2007, Board of Advisors member at Working Media Group until 2010 and a Board of Advisors member for Global Bay until 2011.
