The Gifford Pinchot III talk on climate change references the work he has done with businesses to help them be more efficient when it comes to the environment as well as social justice issues. The American entrepreneur is the co-founder of the Bainbridge Graduate Institute (BGI), the first institution to offer an MBA in sustainable business based in Seattle, Washington.
The author wrote Intrapreneuring: Why You Don't Have to Leave the Corporation to Become an Entrepreneur in 1985 with his wife Elizabeth Pinchot (the concept of intrapreneurship is one they are credited with inventing in a 1978 paper). He also wrote The Intelligent Organization and Intrapreneuring in Action: A Handbook for Business Innovation. The Gifford Pinchot III talk also makes clear his passion for conservationism -- something he inherited from his grandfather.
