Forrest McGill

Speaker Forest McGill is the Chief Curator at The Asian Art Museum, and has given speeches on topics involving artifacts. Previously, McGill was the Chief Curator for the Society of Asian Art. He was also the Chief Curator and Assistant Professor of Asian Art at the California State University. He also worked as a Chief Curator for South and Southeast Asian Art.

Forrest McGill has given a speech on the flood of fake ancient artifacts that have been seen in the market lately. He discusses methods used by the sellers of these artifacts that make them seem real. He also discusses the difficulty with telling these fakes apart from the real thing. McGill says that some artifacts that were thought to be fakes have later turned out to be the real thing.
