Eugene Robinson's keynotes reflect a profound understanding of the modern age of digital media and the world of journalism -- past and present. Robinson, a distinguished and syndicated opinion columnist with the Washington Post, has led a fascinating career thus far.
Robinson started off his journalism career at the University of Michigan where he wrote for the Michigan Daily university newspaper. Robinson went on to work at the San Francisco Chronicle in 1976 until he joined the Washington Post in 1980. Since, Robinson's work at the Post includes city-hall reporter, assistant city editor, foreign correspondant, style and currently opinion.
Alongside his work at the Post, Robinson also appears on MSNBC TV programs including PoliticsNation with Al Sharpton, The Rachel Maddow Show and Meet the Press. In 2009 Robinson won a Pulitzer Prize for his coverage of the 2008 Presidential election. Robinson is also a member of the National Association of Black Journalists and the International Women's Media Foundation.
