Speeches by Edward Gardiner concern his work in psychology and product design. Gardiner works with the Behavioural Design Lab at the Warwick Business School, a partnership with the Design Council that utilizes behavioural science in designing new products and services. The goal of the project is to design products that improve the overall quality of daily life. Gardiner's role in the project sees him working closely with organizations in different fields to better understand their unique challenges and how they can overcome them with innovative product design. Gardiner also has a role in the Creative programme at Warwick, which explores teaching opportunities in design. Prior to his leading the Behavioural Design Lab, Gardiner managed private and public sector campaigns for an advertising agency titled 'Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe/ Y&R.'
In terms of education, Gardiner obtained his MA in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge and also holds an MSc from UCL in Cognitive Science.
