Ed Stafford's keynotes focus on pushing boundaries and taking on new challenges, referencing his own personal experiences as a traveler. The time he spent travelling extended over two years, but resulted in him being named Diane Sawyer's 'Person of the Week' and a nomination for National Geographic's Adventurer of the Year in 2010. Further, he was awarded with the European Adventurer of the Year in 2011 as well as a place in the Guinness World Record book.
Educated at the University of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, Stafford received his Bachelor's of Science with honors in the field of Geography in 1997. After spending four years with the UK Ministry of Defence as Army Captain until 2002, Stafford went on to become the Regional Manager of Global Risk Strategies Limited in Afghanistan working with the United Nations. Since then, he has worked as Country Director Argentina at Global Vision International, Country Director at Trekforce Worldwide, Expedition Consultant at BBC and currently resides as an Explorer.
His historic feat catapulted him to fame and has since made him the inspiration of many. Ed Stafford's keynotes are a reflection of the inspirational journey Stafford has been on and taken others along for the ride with.
