Dave Girgenti

Dave Girgenti's speeches center around his work with 'Wish Upon a Hero,' a social philanthropy network that connects people in need with people who have the resources to help. The idea for this venture was born out of tragedy; Girgenti devised the concept after the September 11th attacks, feeling as though there was a more efficient way of connecting people with their missing loved ones than physically posing pictures around the city. Since its launch in 2007, the platform has granted over 100,000 wishes.

Girgenti also acts as the executive director for the 'Wish Upon a Hero' foundation, a non-profit organization in conjunction with the original network that was established to help raise money for the wishes that remained unfulfilled the site.
